Dapto, New South Wales. / 34.4917°S 150.7917°E / -34.4917; 150.7917. Dapto is a suburb of Wollongong in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia, located on the western side of Lake Illawarra and covering 7.15 square kilometres (2.76 sq mi). As at the 2021 census, the suburb had a population of 10,954.
Shellharbour City Dragons. The Shellharbour City Dragons are an Australian rugby league football club based in the Shellharbour, New South Wales. They currently are not competing in any competitions and formerly competed in the New South Wales Cup in 2009 and 2010 and acted as a feeder club to the NRL club St. George Illawarra Dragons. [1]
Mount Warrigal, New South Wales. / 34.5467°S 150.8433°E / -34.5467; 150.8433. Mount Warrigal is a large suburb of Shellharbour, New South Wales, Australia. The population, according to the 2016 Australian Census, was 4,909. [1] The suburb is in the Shellharbour City LGA.
Huntley. Cleveland. Avondale. Huntley is a suburb of the City of Wollongong to the west of Dapto. At the 2021 census, it had a population of 66. [2] The Geographical Names Board of New South Wales assigned the name of Huntley to the suburb on 5 August 2005. [3] It had previously been called West Dapto or considered to be part of Avondale.
Russell Vale was the home and estate of surveyor Francis Peter MacCabe, who died in 1897. The name Russell was the maiden name of his mother (Margaret née Russell). The estate was originally 250 acres (100 ha). In April 1904, 116 lots were subdivided and sold. In November 1904, a further 96 lots were subdivided and sold.
