Thomas Torrance, former Moderator of the Church of Scotland, was one of the first religious thinkers to win the respect of both theologians and scientists. In his long career as Professor of Christian Dogmatics at New College, University of Edinburgh, his insights on the rationality of the universe attempted to provide evidence of God through scientific reasoning.
