The song reached #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, and stayed there for 9 weeks. It also became their sole #1 hit on the Modern Rock Tracks chart, due to its somewhat heavier sound than some of their other material.
Songfacts®: This is the first single from Velvet Revolver's debut album. The group was comprised of former members of Guns N' Roses with lead singer Scott Weiland (formerly of The Stone Temple Pilots). In 2003, they contributed the song "Set Me Free' to the soundtrack for the film The Hulk.
