Lee Strasberg (născut Israel Strassberg; n. 17 noiembrie 1901, Budaniv, powiatul Terebovlea (d), Regatul Galiției și Lodomeriei, Austro-Ungaria – d. 17 februarie 1982, New York City, New York, SUA) a fost un actor, regizor și profesor de actorie american, născut în Galicia, Austria Polonia, în prezent parte a Ucrainei.
THE METHOD. Lee Strasberg often described Method Acting as what all actors have always done whenever they acted well. What Lee Strasberg meant was not that The Method™ had always been around, but rather, The Method came into being as a way of giving an actor the means to achieve the type of results that had moved and captivated audiences across time.
16 gen 2023 · In 2021, Robert introduced Lee Strasberg’s Method to the Russian Academy of Theatrical Art (formly GITIS) in Moscow via Zoom classes. Robert has taught private classes in New York, Los Angeles, Tucson and Houston. He is currently working on a book about the relationship between the work of Lee Strasberg and that of Konstantin Stanislavsky.
The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles is a private institution and is approved for operation by the Bureau of Private Post-Secondary Education . Approval to operate means the institution is compliant with the minimum standards contained in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.
