  7. Punk rock & the CIA. Stumbled across this video. Not sure how factual it is but thought it was interesting. I know they used the Avant Garde art movement to influence Russian youth in the 50s, and they used the Feminist movement in the 60s to influence US youth so it's not super surprising that they'd use the punk movement in the 70s.
