Rewatching S16 E18 and am struggling to get through it because of how horrible the human trafficking storyline ends. I’m not a fan of the Mer/DeLuca ship at all (way too much of an age gap for me to be able to suspend my disbelief), but I always loved the DeLuca siblings, and thought that Andrew DeLuca was one of the best GA characters since the original MAGIC core cast.

"She did," she smiled, and the look of happiness on both Carina and Maya's faces was enough of a reward for the surgeons. Carina burst into tears, the relief spreading inside of her quickly.

4 giorni fa · Maya’s wife, Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato), could also potentially return to Grey’s Anatomy, and given how invested fans are in this couple, it’s highly unlikely that the show would kill Maya off, especially if there’s a possibility of continuing their relationship on the flagship series.
