Jason Segel. Jason Segal (born Jan. 18, 1980, in Los Angeles, CA) got his big break in 1999 with the Judd Apatow series Freaks and Geeks. He had a long run with TV’s How I Met Your Mother, aside from starring in the 2008 Forgetting Sarah Marshall, he also wrote the film. His first Golden Globes nomination came with the series Shrinking.
