The mission of living in a democratic society and contributing as a citizen is infuseded into the educational curriculum that each student receives. Parker offers a top notch education along with a balance of extra curricular activities and enrichment programs.
Our Fantastic Faculty and Stellar Staff. My first interaction with Mr. Aymar was when I was in JK, and he held a concert (either at his house or at Parker, I do not remember). Our class, a group of four-to-six-year-olds, sat down in a small courtyard-style space and listened to him perform. It was incredible.
The doors of Francis Parker School first opened, in Mission Hills, on December 31, 1912. Founders Clara Sturges Johnson and her husband, William Templeton Johnson, based their educational philosophy on the work of Colonel Francis Wayland Parker and the experience of the Chicago school where Col. Parker’s principles were first put into practice.
The 2023-24 school year will be ‘The Parker Weekly’s” 113th year of continuous publication.
