The school began serving its community as Fessenden Elementary School after 1971, and still enjoys the enthusiastic support of its many generations of adoring alumni. Ms. Carrie Moore of the Fessenden High School graduating class of 1963 volunteers with the PTO. She fondly remembers Fessenden as a “school that everybody in her family” attended.

Welcome to The Fessenden School! Fessenden is a special place for our students, parents, faculty, and staff. Here, learning is fun, character development is valued above all, and a sense of caring and community pervade. We are one school, yet we understand and embrace different needs and different ages.
Prior to joining Fessenden, Myrhia worked in development and alumni relations at Georgetown University, Nashoba Brooks School, and Franklin and Marshall College, her alma mater. A Newton native, Myrhia grew up playing hockey at Fessenden's ice rink, is an alumna of The Rivers School in Weston, and is the proud parent of a Fessy boy.
