26 dic 2020 · De zwanenzang van The Walkabouts zou na een paar jaar blijken. Chris had in 2015 besloten dat het genoeg geweest was, tot grote spijt van de rest van de groep (vooral Carla, die ervan overtuigd was dat er nog een paar goeie platen in hen zaten).

3 gen 2012 · I migliori album del 2011(9): The Walkabouts – Travels In The Dustland (Glitterhouse) Si saranno ormai rassegnati i Walkabouts a non essere profeti in patria. D’altronde il leader Chris Eckman è un buon decennio che non vive nemmeno più negli USA, bensì in Slovenia.

Never a standard rock band, The Walkabouts defy genres as they seamlessly fuse rock, country and folk to reveal a rich and expansive sound. 31 dic 2011 · The Walkabouts bewijzen met Travels In The Dustland niet alleen dat ze nog altijd springlevend zijn, maar zijn er bovendien in geslaagd om een van hun betere platen af te leveren. Het is een jaarlijstjesplaat die ik compleet had gemist, maar dankzij de oplettende lezers duikt hij op de valreep van 2011 toch nog op op deze BLOG.
