Nell'aprile 2021 Snyder annuncia che il titolo del film prequel / spin-off incentrato sullo scassinatore Ludwig Dieter è Army of Thieves, diretto ed interpretato da Matthias Schweighöfer. Nel luglio 2021 viene confermato il sequel dopo l'accordo tra Zack Snyder e Netflix ; il film sarà scritto da Snyder insieme a Shay Hatten [19] e si intitolerà Planet of the Dead .
