In it’s more than 160 years of dedicated service in the field of education the Roman Catholic Diocese of Coimbatore reached a milestone in 2006 when this St. Peter’s College of Education was started. St Peter’s College is a leading boarding and day school for boys from the Early Learning Centre through to Year 12. Today, and for 174 years, our most important work is shaping the character of the boys and young men at St Peter’s College. History Athletics commenced in earnest at St. Peter’s after the expansion of the College grounds, which was opened on 13th September 1930. Subsequently in 1934 St Peter’s college under the captaincy of Shirley de S Illesinghe and ably coached by Mr. Herbert Wittahachchi won the Tarbet and Jefferson cups at the Public Schools Athletic Meet.
St Peter’s College is an independent, Anglican, day, high school that prescribes to the co-educational model of schooling, espousing Christian values and providing children with a balanced, caring, varied and modern environment. Watch video.
