The British Film. The British Film collection was launched by Network Distributing in April 2013 as part of a five-year plan to release over 450 vintage British films through a deal with Studiocanal, one of Europe’s leading distribution and production companies.
It is based on the theme-park attraction, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, and aired on ABC on October 26, 1997, as a presentation of The Wonderful World of Disney. It is Disney's first film based on one of its theme-park attractions, and the only one produced for television.
Florida lobby. The opening sequence from Seasons 4 and 5 of The Twilight Zone plays, followed by an explanation of the events hosted by the narrator: the story of how one of the main lobby elevators plummeted after being struck by lightning, causing the five people inside (Carolyn Crosson, Gilbert London, Dewey Todd, Sally Shine, and Emeline Partridge) to vanish into the Twilight Zone.
