Biografia • Numeri incantati. Ada Lovelace (il cui vero nome è Augusta Ada Byron) nasce il 10 dicembre del 1815 a Londra, figlia della matematica Anne Isabella Milbanke e del poeta Lord Byron. Il suo nome deriva da quello di Augusta Leigh, sorellastra di Byron, anche se lui stesso chiama sempre la figlia Ada.

Byron called her his princess of parallelograms because of her interest in mathematics. She tried to reform him, but her efforts were in vain.
Anne Isabella Milbanke Noel Byron, 11 e baronne Wentworth et baronne Byron, née à Londres le 17 mai 1792 et morte le 16 mai 1860 est l'épouse du poète Byron sous le nom d'« Annabella » et la mère de la scientifique Ada Lovelace qui rédigea la première boucle de code jamais écrite lorsqu'elle travailla sur les machines du mathématicien Charles Babbage.
