Island Records er et amerikansk pladeselskab, der blev grundlagt på Jamaica i 1959 af Chris Blackwell. Selskabet flyttedes i 1962 til London, og i 1967 blev musikprofilen udvidet med britisk rock. Island Records er eit plateselskap som blei grunnlagd på Jamaica i 1959 av Chris Blackwell. Den første suksessen hadde selskapet med singelen «Boogie In My Bones» med Laurel Aitken, den låg 11 uker på 1. plass i Jamaica. I 1962 blei selskapet flytta til London, i Storbritannia levde det på denne tida ein stor mengde jamaikanske innvandrarar.
