Archduchess Maria Dorothea. Maria Dorothea was the eldest of five children born to Duke Louis of Württemberg and his second wife Princess Henriette of Nassau-Weilburg. She was born in Carlsruhe (now Pokój), Silesia, now Poland. Her brother Alexander was the grandfather of Mary of Teck, the future queen consort of George V of the United Kingdom .
Sophia Dorothea was born in 1759 in Stettin, Pomerania, the daughter of Frederick II Eugene, duke of Wurttemberg, and Sophia Dorothea of Brandenburg . She was brought up in a close-knit and happy family living in the town of Montbéliard close to the French frontier. Her limited home education stressed morals and manners, dancing and needlepoint.

Sofía Dorotea de Wurtemberg (en alemán, Sophia Dorothea von Württemberg; Stettin, 25 de octubre de 1759-San Petersburgo, 5 de noviembre de 1828) o María Fiódorovna, según la Iglesia ortodoxa, fue la segunda esposa del zar Pablo I de Rusia y madre de los zares Alejandro I y de Nicolás I.
Maria Feodorovna (errusieraz: Мария Фёдоровна; Sttetin, Prusiako Erresuma, 1759ko urriaren 25a - Pavlovsk jauregia, San Petersburgo, 1828ko azaroaren 5a Greg. /urriaren 24a Jul.) Errusiako enperatriz ezkontidea izan zen 1796tik 1801era.
