The easily digestible snack size bites I expected were instead a full, hearty meal I couldn’t walk away from, reading it in one delicious sitting.

I do apologize to Merrill Markoe for not going on and on about her, but in fairness, I came to the party and stayed for the afterparty because of Prieboy. This piece was far more substantial, poignant and resonant than I had anticipated.

We Saw Scenery is a chronicle of early childhood/teen diary entries from the young Merrill Markoe, all illustrated by the author.
