A former student and Fellow of the college, Dr John Addenbrooke (1680 – 1719), founded Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, which today continues to bear his name and forms the core of one of the largest biomedical campuses in Europe.

  7. 4 giorni fa · St. Catharine's College (fn. 1) was founded by Robert Woodlark (or Wodelarke), Provost of King's College, on St. Catharine's day, 25 November 1473. Until 1860 it was known as Catharine Hall. The site was the north-west of the present court, and the front faced Milne Street, now Queens' Lane.
