More recently, the school has been scored as average with a Progress 8 score of −0.02 by the Department for Education.
Haberdashers’ Adams is a selective state grammar school for day pupils and boarders, located in the rural market town of Newport in Shropshire. Newport is approximately 20 minutes from Telford, an hour away from Birmingham and one and a half hours from London by train.

Haberdashers’ Adams welcomes both boys and girls into our Sixth Form, offering a warm reception to all newcomers. Every year, nearly 100 new students join our Lower Sixth from a wide variety of local schools and from further away as boarders.
Exams. Details of public exam boards, candidate information, exam board regulations and results days can be found here. The exam timetables are yet to be confirmed, however, result days this year are: A and AS level – Thursday 15th August 2024. GCSE – Thursday 22nd August 2024.
