About Chafyn Grove School. Welcome to Prep. Each class has a form tutor. In Years 3 & 4, the tutor delivers a significant share of the timetable. From Year 5, children move around the school more to be taught by subject specialists for every lesson. The form tutor is the first port of call for any enquiry and a key part of our pastoral system.
Our Boarding House. Chafyn Grove has one boarding house, shared between boys and girls and looked after by our Houseparent Mr Thomas Browning-Stamp, who is also a teacher in the school as well as Miss Edwards, our Deputy Houseparent who also teaches at Chafyn. Our emphasis is on Family boarding: a community where everyone knows each other well.
Sports Facilities. Chafyn Grove School is known for it’s sport. Our children benefit from having everything on their doorstep. On site there is a purpose built two storey sports hall which enables the children to do trampolining, badminton, parkour and indoor games but most importantly ensures when the weather is too bad afternoon games can still continue.
From Year 3 lessons are taught every day of the week till 4.40pm; free wraparound care runs from 8.00am till 6.00pm. YEAR GROUP. FEE. Pre-Prep (Reception – Year 2) £3,601 per term. Transition (Year 3) £5,324 per term. Prep School (Day) (Years 4 – 8) £6,984 per term.

Chafyn Grove School provides a well-established and stable family environment for military families, which is essential when children are faced with the instability of one or both of their parents being posted away. For actively serving members of the Armed Forces we provide a 10% discount for day pupils and weekly boarders (4 nights per week).
