The William Esper Studio was established in 1965 and today ranks as one of the most respected professional actor training studios in America. The Studio is dedicated to the work of Sanford Meisner and William Esper and the proposition that acting is a creative art and true excellence in its practice may only be achieved through total mastery of technical craft.

Summer Intensive. The Summer Intensive is designed to introduce actors to the methods of training employed by the Studio, built on the foundations of the Meisner Technique. For students who wish to continue their training in the Fall or Winter, it provides a strong send-off for the Two Year Program.

A reputable acting school since its opening in 1965, the studio has graduated many a well-known name in the movie and theater world. Based on the techniques that he learned from the famed Sanford Meisner, William Esper went on to found his own school on 37th Street and co-authored a book in 2008, titled The Actor's Art and Craft: William Esper Teaches the Meisner Technique.
