The roots of The Actors Studio go back to the Group Theatre (1931-1941) whose work was inspired by the discoveries of the great Russian actor and director Konstantin Stanislavski and his best student Eugene Vakhtangov as revealed in the legendary productions that the Moscow Art Theatre toured in America in 1923.

La fama dell “Actors studio”, fondato da Elia Kazan nel 1947, diretto per più di trent’anni da Lee Strasberg, applicando all’ossessione il metodo inventato dal regista russo Konstantin Stanislavskij, ha acquisito una fama universale, sia perché da quella scuola sono passati quasi tutti i divi di tre generazioni, sia perché il famoso “ metodo” fu davvero qualcosa di unico.
