Sarah Charlotte, Lady Campbell-Bannerman (née Bruce; 10 May 1832 – 30 August 1906) was the wife of British Prime Minister Henry Campbell-Bannerman. Early life and marriage She was the daughter of Major-General Sir Charles Bruce, KCB , sometime Governor of Portsmouth , and his wife Charlotte, daughter of James Forbes, of Hutton Hall, Essex , and Kingairloch , Argyll .

Sarah Charlotte Bruce was the daughter of Major-General Sir Charles Bruce, KCB , sometime Governor of Portsmouth , and his wife Charlotte, daughter of James Forbes, of Hutton Hall, Essex , and Kingairloch, Argyll
Later that year he married Charlotte Bruce in London and became Campbell-Bannerman on inheriting his uncle's estate in 1871. He was elected as a radical Liberal MP for Stirling Burghs in November 1868, appointed financial secretary in 1871 and later secretary of state for war in the cabinets of William Gladstone and Lord Rosebery.
