RCA continued to release archival recordings, its most interesting issues being the 1992 box set Jefferson Airplane Loves You and the 1998 concert recording Live at the Fillmore East. On January 28, 2016, Kantner died of multiple organ failure in San Francisco at the age of 74 -- the same day, and at the same age that original Airplane singer Signe Anderson died at her home in Beaverton, Oregon.
