Busby Berkeley went on to do even more innovative work at MGM, and lived long enough to see his protégé, Ruby Keeler, star in the 1971 revival of No, No, Nanette - The New 1925 Musical (1971 Broadway Revival Cast), but did not live to see his masterpiece, 42nd Street (1980 Original Broadway Cast), become a very successful 1980 musical, which included many of the songs featured on this DVD.
