Trama. Negli anni '60, una giovane Anna arriva a San Francisco. Comincia a lavorare in una libreria e presto incontra Ysela, un'altra donna transgender. Anna ha un appuntamento con un agente di polizia di nome Tommy, che le piace ma inizialmente si ritrae quando scopre di essere transgender.
Tales of the City è una miniserie revival di un’acclamata saga; si ricongiunge infatti ai tre capitoli, inediti in Italia, che dal 1993 al 2001 erano già stati tratti dai romanzi di Armistead Maupin.
