Review by Marquedon Watkins ★★½. this movie is an example of love bombing actually working then crashing and burning in its own kind of way. felt like one of those indie movies that’s all over the place. no character is without their bright glaring flaws though. Definitely an interesting watch with a complimentary soundtrack.

Venus as a Boy follows a struggling artist, but the film itself is an art piece. Everything from the videography to the music and performances - it's STUNNING. When the film ends it feels like you've just left another world. Hodges is brilliant. Highly recommend.
