Gorseinon. The Gorseinon Campus accommodates more than 2,000 full-time students, who have access to nearly 40 A Level subjects and a wide range of vocational courses. Support for learners is central to our activities and the campus facilities are being constantly up-graded to create an environment which enables students to achieve their potential.
During year 1 students study the basic principles of cell biology, biochemistry and genetics. This enables progression to study the circulatory and respiratory systems, evolution and nutrition in term 2. In year 2 human biology topics such as the kidney, the nervous system and reproduction are covered alongside topics such as ecology, plant reproduction, microbiology and applications of genetics.

Talented artists celebrated at College 13 Jul 2022 Some of Gower College Swansea’s most talented learners have competed in the Principal’s Art Prize, a new initiative open to those studying creative subjects at the Gorseinon and Llwyn y Bryn campuses.
The name Gorseinon means "Einon's marsh", from the soft mutated form of Welsh cors "marsh" [3] and the male personal name Einon, the identity of whom is uncertain. [4] Einon is the southern form of the name Einion. The initial soft mutation is irregular, and one would expect Corseinon. The short name of the village in Welsh is Y Gors (the marsh).
