  1. The main Bristol Old Vic Theatre School premises at 1-3 Downside Road are accessible to wheelchair users and we have considerable experience of working with and adapting our programmes to students with a wide range of impairments and we welcome applications from disabled students.

  2. History. The School opened in October 1946, eight months after the founding of its parent Bristol Old Vic Theatre Company, in a room above a fruit merchant's warehouse in the Rackhay near the stage door of the Theatre Royal, with support from Sir Laurence Olivier.

  5. The School is in a beautiful part of Bristol, overlooking a huge park called the Downs. We sometimes take advantage of our close proximity to the Downs during the summer term, practising fight and dance routines, or voice or singing classes!
