7 dic 2018 · In 1968, when the Hayward Gallery in London first opened, it filled a gap in the capital’s art scene. At the time, Tate and the National Gallery were unable to stage temporary exhibitions without relocating their permanent collection; by contrast, the Hayward Gallery offered a dedicated space for contemporary art.
