An eclectic group of characters set sail on Captain Lansen's leaky cargo ship in an attempt to escape their various troubles. When a violent storm strikes, the ship is swept into the Sargasso Sea and the passengers find themselves trapped on an island populated by man-eating seaweed, giant crabs and Spanish conquistadors who believe it's still the 16th century.
The Lost Continent is a 1968 Hammer Films fantasy adventure movie directed by Michael Carreras, based on the novel Uncharted Seas by Dennis Wheatley.The film deals with a group of passengers on a ship that gets lost in the Sargasso Sea (a Bermuda Triangle-like part of the North Atlantic Ocean) alongside giant sea monsters and Spanish Conquistadores.
20 giu 2017 · The Lost Continent isn’t really a good film, but its sheer eccentricity makes it one hard to actively dislike. I’m not sure that the filmmakers entirely knew what they were trying to make, but I’m glad that they still succeeded against the odds in making it.
