The Last Lullaby (2008) Here's a film that reinvigorates the true moody, classic, slightly low-budget intensity of film noir. It's not latecomers like "Chinatown," Blood Simple," or "Mulholland Drive," which are strong movies on their own terms (and often waved as recent film noirs).
Lullaby: Directed by John R. Leonetti. With Oona Chaplin, Ramón Rodríguez, Liane Balaban, Mary Ann Stevens. A new mother discovers a lullaby in an ancient book and soon regards the song as a blessing, but her world transforms into a nightmare when the lullaby brings forth the ancient demon Lilith.

Co-written by the creator of “The Road to Perdition,” and winner of the audience award and best actress award at the San Diego Film Festival, THE LAST LULLABY is a story about Price (Tom Sizemore, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN), a retired hitman who can’t pass up one last high-priced contract.
The Last Lullaby plummets Price back into his old life and forces him into a corner from which he may never escape. Price's old ways no longer work for him when his heart opens, and he finds life beyond his profession.
based on a short story by (the film's co-writer) Max Allan Collins(THE EXPERT,MOMMY),THE LAST LULLABY has director Jeffrey Goodman(in his sole filmmaking feature) tightly holding the film well as he gains plenty of great performances from the cast amid the film's gory killings and the plot twists that occur,resulting in THE LAQST LULLABY being a decent feature.
