(Jenico) Nicholas Dudley Preston, 17th Viscount Gormanston (born 19 November 1939), is an Anglo-Irish aristocrat and British hereditary peer, who sat in the House of Lords (as Baron Gormanston) until 1999. Lord Gormanston is the premier viscount in the Peerage of Ireland (title created 1478).

Jenico Preston, 7th Viscount Gormanston (born at Gormanston, County Meath 1631; died at Limerick 17 March 1691), was an Irish peer, Jacobite soldier and landowner.
Preston, Jenico (Genico) (1585–1630), 5th Viscount Gormanston , landowner and champion of the catholic cause, was the son of Christopher Preston, 4th viscount, and his wife Catherine, daughter of Sir Thomas Fitzwilliam of Merrion, Dublin.
His eldest son Jenico Preston (d. 1691) succeeded as 7th Viscount Gormanston . He was at a Jesuit school in Kilkenny in July 1647 but was afterwards in exile on the continent. He was restored in the 1660s to the estates held by his father before the rebellion of 1641.
The present article explores the life of a nobleman from sixteenth-century Meath – Jenico Preston, 3rd Viscount Gormanston – paying due attention to the interplay between the ‘political’ and the ‘personal’ spheres of his life.
