2 giorni fa · I found this part of the volume Morgoth's Ring, in The History of Middle-earth, truly remarkable. The title means "The debate of Finrod and Andreth". Finrod, as is well-known, was the greatest friend and teacher of Men among the Eldar. Andreth, his interlocutor, is a wise-woman of the House of Beor.

He helped to breed the Orcs, and he regularly waged war in Morgoth's name. After Morgoth's downfall, he became the Dark Lord and the wielder of the One Ring.
