To my surprise none of them have mentioned one of my favorite films Carnival of Souls. It's a 1962 horror film (not that scary though). The main character Mary shows disinterest in sex and romance throughout the entirety of the film and I have a hard time believing it's about anything other than the aroace experience of feeling pressured by society to partake in sex and romantic relationships.
