Land in 'Taterington', given by Beorhtwulf of Mercia to the monks of Worcester in 840, has been identified as Taddington. In 1086 Taddington also belonged to the church of Tewkesbury.
5 giorni fa · Francisson of Susan was created Lord Wemyss in 1821 and became Earl of Wemyss, Lord Wemyss of Elcho and Lord Elcho and Methel in 1826 by the reversal of the attainder of David Wemyss, his collateral ancestor, who joined in the Stuart rising, and was attainted after the battle of Culloden in 1745.
4 giorni fa · On her death in 1864 the estate passed to their daughter, the former Lady Margaret Butler, who had married the Hon. Richard Charteris, second son of the ninth Earl of Wemyss. She died in 1915. The estate, now broken up and in multiple ownership, was variously known by the names Mellish, Glengall and Charteris as it passed in succession.

On the nose there are immediate aromas of spice, with late hints of smoke and a trace of pepper. Warming intensifies these aromas and the spicy, peppery note is immediately apparent on the palate.
