The Gallery was designed by Caruso St John Architects (winners of RIBA Stirling Prize 2016) and so named in gratitude for the generous benefaction of Alwyn Heong.

5 giorni fa · In 1677 the Russells sold it to Sir George Downing, with whose Cambridgeshire lands it descended thereafter, passing in 1800 to Downing College, Cambridge. (fn. 221) The college sold its farms in Croydon and Clopton in 1947, mostly to the tenants.
