Definitely some essential contributions to the classic rock canon, and some decent enough albums, but also a lot of material that kinda chafes, so they end up a bit below the Dead and Moby Grape when I'm thinking about bands emerging from San Francisco's mid/late 60s scene.

  3. My review of Jefferson Airplane Takes Off. this is a really good album but I like the alternate takes better for some of the songs available in the deluxe version. the lyrics are deliciously psychedelic. i hope someone remasters it soon. 458 subscribers in the JeffersonAirplane community.
