I'm not sure that George Martin would've been an improvement over Phil Spector. His single mix of "Let It Be" is far wimpier than Spector's fantastic album mix. The drums, guitars, and searing guitar solo rock the house. I also like Phil's work on the live tracks. Take Giles Martin's mixes of the rooftop concert.
