David Ogden Stiers who played Winchester was intensely private and none of the cast knew his phone number or where he lived. He got along with everyone but just didn't socialise with them outside of work (tbf, he was in the closet at the time). When Winchester gives Hoolihan the book you can see him turn it over and opening it for her.
