3 giorni fa · Downing College Sometimes described as the oldest of the new colleges and the newest of the old due to the fact that this college was only added to the university between 1596 and 1869. Many of the buildings were built in Neoclassical style with the Downing College Chapel being the most impressive of all the buildings.

Parts of the college weren't added until the 1950s. Don't be misled, though, it's still an imposing building and Downing has attracted students such as John Cleese and Michael Winner.
