It ran for six years, paving the way for an HBO comedy special and a long string of movies, including “Encino Man,” “Son-in-Law,” “In the Army Now,” “Jury Duty,” “Bio-Dome” and a semi-autobiographical mockumentary called “Pauly Shore is Dead.”
