Whenever I see lists of the greatest rock bass players of all time, I see names like Chris Squire, John Entwistle, John Paul Jones, Paul McCartney, and the like. I rarely see Phil or Jack. I think Jack was by FAR the best bassist of the 60s. Phil matured in his sound around 1971, imo.
