The album was praised by critics and a commercial success, it landed inside the Top 10 in the US and Canada and produced two singles, " Love Her Madly " and " Riders on the Storm ".

1 giorno fa · Unfortunately this was The Doors final album with the late Jim Morrison. Most fans already know the story. This album in particular had some great cuts including the title name L.A. Woman, then Love Her Madly and of course my all time favorite Riders on the Storm included on this 1971 180 gram digitally remastered version of the original on the Elecktra label.
1 giorno fa · After recording L.A. Woman with the Doors in Los Angeles, Morrison announced to the band his intention to go to Paris. His bandmates generally felt it was a good idea. In March 1971, he joined girlfriend Pamela Courson in Paris at an apartment she had rented at 17–19, Rue Beautreillis in Le Marais, 4th arrondissement.

Woman (1971), with 20 Gold, 14 Platinum and 5 Multi-Platinum album awards in the United States alone.[5]
