Calen was a pretty relatable character, although I feel like Rist's storyline will be more intriguing going forward. Valerys is awesome, and I look forward to seeing him grow. These characters were a lot of fun, as was the story. This book had all the feelings of a classic fantasy, and reading it was like cuddling up in a warm blanket.
