1 giorno fa · It benefits from the atmosphere Mulargia seems to replicate in many of his films and has some really nice music, too. I agree, and Mulargia’s Don’t Wait Django…Shoot ! released just around 4 months later in Dec 1967 is another example of that, slightly better without that kid stuff, very simple but moody, although instead that drunken fellow is used to much without clear motif.
He won Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of jaded but honest police officer Javier Rodriguez in the 2000 film Traffic. He competed against Jeff Bridges for The Contender , Willem Dafoe for Shadow of the Vampire , Albert Finney for Erin Brokovich , and, perhaps most impressively, Joaquin Phoenix in the role of the evil Emperor Commodus for Gladiator .
