S&D has never been my favorite…or so I thought. Upon revisiting the introduction of Samson and Delilah in june 1976, I noticed the groove was significantly different than the famed 78/77 versions. These earlier versions imo are driven by Phil’s aggressive picking style (possibly just fingerstyle—no pick.)
