Filippo Grandi (born March 30, 1957) is an Italian diplomat and United Nations official, currently serving as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Il 1 gennaio 2016 Filippo Grandi è diventato l’undicesimo Alto Commissario delle Nazioni Unite per i Rifugiati. E’ il primo italiano a ricoprire questo ruolo Filippo Grandi è stato eletto dall’Assemblea Generale delle Nazioni Unite con un mandato di cinque anni, fino al 31 dicembre 2020.

26 nov 2020 · Following the recommendation of the Secretary-General, after consultation with Member States, the General Assembly confirmed Filippo Grandi of Italy as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for a further two-and-a-half-year term beginning 1 January 2021 and ending 30 June 2023.
