Iziaslav II Mstislavich [a] ( c. 1096 [1] – 13 November 1154) [1] was Grand Prince of Kiev (1146–1154). [2] He was also Prince of Pereyaslavl (1132; 1143–1145), Prince of Turov (1132–1134), Prince of Rostov (1134–), and Prince of Volhynia (1134–1142). He is the progenitor of the Iziaslavichi of Volhynia.
The Principality of Volhynia (Ukrainian: Волинське князівство) was a western Kievan Rus' principality founded by the Rurikid prince Vsevolod in 987 centered in the region of Volhynia, straddling the borders of modern-day Ukraine, Belarus, and Poland.
Mstislav was the son of Grand Prince Iziaslav II of Kiev. Along with his father, he participated in the wars against Yury Dolgoruky and the Chernigov princes. After an initial victory against the Cumans in 1153, Mstislav was defeated by the Cumans at the Psel river.

Yaroslav II Iziaslavich [a] (died 1180) was Prince of Turov (1146), Novgorod (1148–1154), Lutsk (1154–1180) and Grand Prince of Kiev (1174–1175; 1180). He was the son of Iziaslav II of Kiev and Agnes Hohenstaufen and the brother of Mstislav II of Kiev .
