23 set 2018 · In theory, the same logic could have been applied to Rogue One, but that film was actually a nice little bit of something different for the Star Wars universe. Even if it was a story which didn't necessarily need to be told, the space variation on The Dirty Dozen was pretty damn effective and the closest thing we've had to genuine war in Star Wars.

21 apr 2020 · Rogue One is easily the best of the Star Wars film post original trilogy. I've been waiting for the individual release for Rogue One because of the technical merits and I can't believe they have not released it separately. Must be some contracts/commercial reasons...
22 apr 2020 · Rather than Rogue One, the sequel to The Phantom Menace had the opportunity to be the first to actually put the Wars into Star Wars. It was simple, all Lucas had to do was actually make a film about the fabled "Clone Wars" which were first teased back in '77's A New Hope. Alas, that was not to be.

Often derided as the worst entry, the latest flawed sequels might afford this a reassessment, with Lucas on visionary form in terms of world-building, and seminal moments like the saga-best Duel of the Fates, although a messy 4K upgrade is hardly going to help win you over.
